The stars were in alignment last night as Star Magic’s hottest talents came out to the blue carpet of the first-ever Pure Magic party—a private bash exclusive to the artists of ABS-CBN’s talent management arm. Think of it as a new version of the Star Magic Ball (last held in 2017), but way more laidback so the stars can really wind down and get to catch up with their fellow artistas.
Thankfully for us, there’s still a red carpet (or in this case, a blue carpet) for our favorite celebs to strut their stuff on! This means we can get our fashion fix while they can comfortably chill out with their friends after—honestly a win-win situation.
But more importantly, we get to see our favorite couples and loveteams slay it together in their coordinated outfits—and last night definitely did not disappoint. We can’t get enough of these couples’ looks at the #PureMagic2019 party:
Kathryn Bernardo & Daniel Padilla
Is this even a surprise? Kath and DJ always turn it out on the red carpet with their luxe ‘fits. Daniel rocks a Valentino jacket while Kath is every bit a headturner in a little black dress from Anthony Ramirez. We especially love the choker detail!
Maymay Entrata & Edward Barber
Maymay, whose model figure lends itself well to high-concept looks, turned the blue carpet to a fashion runway last night as she wore a silver dress paired with a statement jacket and pink socks with an eye-catching orange fringe. Edward, on the other hand, went with a classic white suit jacket with an oversized safety pin inspired by Versace.
Julia Barretto & Joshua Garcia
If the recent ABS-CBN Ball told us anything, it’s that Julia isn’t afraid to wear something out of the box. The Ngayon at Kailanman actress rocked a sexy, sparkling Mark Bumgarner jumpsuit with a low neckline, while her boyfriend Joshua donned an unconventional jacket with custom artwork from Cavite artist Mark Harold Burce.
Loisa Andalio & Ronnie Alonte
We love it when couples go matchy-matchy—or, to use millennial terms, go #twinning. Menswear was the theme of choice for Loisa and Ronnie, who donned classic suits with interesting twists. For Ronnie, that meant a holographic fabric, while for Loisa, it meant wearing her suit over a sparkling bandeau. Valentine’s outfit ideas, anyone?
