Actress Assunta De Rossi surprised everyone with a good news that she is 14 weeks pregnant, after 16 long years of being married to businessman-politician Jules Ledesma.
On her Instagram, Assunta recalled that she has been suffering from pregnancy symptoms weeks before the community quaratine was enforced.
In her story, she said she underwent ultrasound scan and blood test last March after she missed her monthly period. The tests confirmed that she is carrying a child.
"On March 5, 2020, I paid a visit to my OB-GYN after not seeing him for 3 plus years," the Filipino-Italian actress said on her post. "Why? I had missed my period. An ultrasound scan and blood test confirmed later that day that I was about 5 weeks pregnant."
Happy with her new blessing, the 37-year-old award-winning actress called it a "miracle" because she conceived despite having both endometriosis and myoma.
"I know, shocking!" Assunta gushed. "Getting pregnant the natural way with myoma and endometriosis (which I both have) is extremely difficult. Only medical intervention or a miracle can make it happen. This was a miracle!"
Delighted by the good news, Alessandra De Rossi posted a congratulatory photo for her sister on Instagram.
"Ayan. Nahipo ng birhen!" Alex said on her post that came with a photo of them together. "Congratulations @assuntaledesma @julesledesma God really answers prayers. 16 years of praying! Heto ka na, tita na me!
Congratulations, Jules and Assunta!
