Alessandra De Rossi revealed that she offered to be a surrogate for her sister Assunta when the latter was struggling to conceive a baby.

Alessandra de Rossi said there was a time she offered to be a surrogate for sister Assunta when she had the struggle to conceive via in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

She opened up about the topic during the online talk show I Feel U hosted by Toni Gonzaga. The Kita Kita star recalled how Assunta had two eggs when the IVF process was not working.

“Ayoko na siya pagdaanan, ayoko na pagdaanan ’yong feeling,” Alessandra recounted Assunta saying. “Sabi ko ‘Gusto mo ba ako magdala?’ Wala din naman akong direksyon sa buhay.”

She adds in jest that she already found direction when Kita Kita became a blockbuster hit so she jokingly asked Assunta to wait.

“Eh, sumabog ’yong Kita Kita [so] sabi ko, wait lang, may pupuntahan pa pala ako,” Alessandra quipped.

Kidding aside, the actress pointed out that she was willing to be a surrogate for Assunta, yet the latter just laughed it out.

“So, ’di ko alam kung kinonsider ba niya in her head,” Alessandra said.

It could be recalled that last October 2020 Assunta gave birth to her daughter, whom she called a “miracle baby” as it took her 18 years in conceiving a child and she also had to deal with myoma and endometriosis.

Assunta named her daughter Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra. She is called Fiore for short.
