Turning 40 years old welcomes you into the grand middle age. They say, at forty, you have earned your place in the sun. You have carved yourself a niche and established your identity.
And in the case of actress Angelu De Leon, who just turned 40 in a grand celebration yesterday, everything said above hold true.
She started her career by appearing in the ABS-CBN kiddie gag show Ang TV when she was twelve, and then moved on to movies where she played younger sister and similar roles to more established stars at that time. Her big breaks came by starring in teen-oriented shows such as T.G.I.S. (Thank God It's Sabado) in 1995, and Growing Up in 1997. Both shows made marks in the lives of the youth viewers at that time.
And now, Angelu is currently enjoying the best of what life has to offer by having a well-balanced life on and off screen.
And yesterday, as she turned 40, her family, friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate her life via a posh garden-themed birthday party.
Angelu, who looked fabulous in her green ensemble, took to Instagram earlier today to share her beautiful musings on the four decades of her colorful life.
There, she wrote, “Forty. I do not feel it, because if it’ll be based on experience I think i’m around sixty. 😂 Kidding aside.”
“I am beyond grateful to have reached forty. In my life there have been ugly chapters that would make you question everything. But there are more beautiful ones that makes me wonder what I did to deserve this life. My physical age is forty but my spiritual age is twelve.
She continued, “I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior August of 2007. It was the best decision i have ever made in my life. It’s not what i have done but it’s what Jesus’ has done for me to deserve the life I have now.
“I prayed to God what i should do on my birthday and He said: ‘Give me glory.’ And why shouldn’t I, He has given me a life I could only dream of after all the things I have done wrong.”
Well said. Happy 40th, Angelu!
