Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are married!

The couple exchanged "I do" last Thursday night (June 9) in Spears' home in Thousand Oaks, California.

Around 60 guests were in attendance, including Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez. Madonna, Paris Hilton, Kathy Hilton, Maria Menounos, Ansel Elgort, will.i.am, and Donatella Versace.

According to VOGUE, Britney wore a sleek, off-the-shoulder custom Versace dress with a leg-revealing slit up one side and a classic white veil with satin edging. Sam complemented Britney’s look in a tux by Versace.

The bride’s glow was further enhanced by the jewelry she eventually put on to walk down the aisle. Britney’s bridal pieces weighed in at 62 carats and were all from jeweler to the stars Stephanie Gottlieb. Her look included round diamond and pear-shaped drop earrings, a heart-diamond tennis necklace in white gold, and an oval diamond tennis bracelet

Charlotte and Sofia Tilbury collaborated to create the bride’s natural beauty look.

"I was so thrilled and honored to be asked to design Britney’s bridal beauty look! Britney is an icon of our time who has inspired and empowered us all with her joy and positive energy. She’s such a natural beauty and has the most mesmerizing big, brown eyes," says Charlotte.

Stationed outside of the couple’s home, which was draped in pink and white roses for the occasion, was a white horse with gold hooves pulling a carriage fit for the former Teen Pop Queen.

The ten-minute ceremony took place under a tent draped in velvet blush. Britney walked down the aisle to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love."

Her sons Sean Preston (16) and Jayden James (15) were not in attendance at the wedding but are "happy" for their mom, a lawyer for Kevin Federline told PEOPLE.

After the ceremony, Britney changed into three more looks for the reception party. She wore a black mini dress then followed by a two-toned outfit, and finally, a red mini dress, all by Versace.

Contemporary Catering created the couple’s citrus blossom cake and the music was by DJ Albert.

Brandon Cohen, the groom's manager has this to say about the wedding: "I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married. I know he wanted this for so long. He is so caring and supportive every step of the way. I am so grateful to have Sam in my life and can't wait for the future they will build together."

The newlyweds made their exit at 10:15 p.m. in a Rolls Royce. As they drove away, guests surrounded their car with sparklers.

The couple got engaged in September 2021, months before Britney's conservatorship was terminated in November 2021.

But hours before the wedding, Britney's ex-husband, Jason Alexander, broke into her home and tried to crash her wedding.

According to a report from TMZ, Alexander streamed parts of the ordeal on Instagram Live, where he can be seen approaching Spears’s backyard and entering a wedding tent, seemingly before any guests had arrived. After what appeared to be a physical struggle with security, the feed cut out, though Alexander went live again inside Spears’s home shortly after.

A spokesman for the Ventura County sheriff confirmed to NBC that police responded to a trespassing call and restrained Alexander outside. He was booked for trespassing, vandalism, and two batteries, and an emergency protective order was issued requiring him to stay away from Spears later on Thursday.

Spears’s attorney Mathew Rosengart confirmed the incident to Page Six and said that Alexander had been arrested: "I’m working closely with law enforcement to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Spears and Alexander, her childhood friend, got married in Las Vegas in 2004 and annulled the marriage within two days, with the annulment petition claiming that Spears “lacked understanding of her actions” and was “incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”

At the time, her attorney said that Alexander agreed to the annulment. He was largely quiet in the following years but showed up at a #FreeBritney rally in L.A. in August of 2020.

Alexander was reportedly arrested three times in 2021, including in December for violating an order of protection and aggravated stalking. Police did not identify who he was stalking at the time. He pleaded guilty and was ordered to serve almost a year of probation.

In January of this year, Page Six reported that Alexander had posted two videos and a photo taken outside Spears’s mother, Lynne’s, Los Angeles estate to a private Instagram account.

In a video posted earlier that day, he also claimed he was planning to visit Spears’s childhood home and the homes of other Spears family members.

Before attempting to crash the wedding on Thursday, he posted a video claiming everyone “associated with Britney in the last 20 years,” including himself, Asghari, and all of Spears’s immediate family, should be investigated.

Thankfully, Spears, Asghari, and the rest of the wedding attendees are safe, and Thursday night’s festivities appeared to continue as planned.
