It has been two years since Catriona Gray made the Philippines proud when she won the Miss Universe crown and as she looks back on this milestone, she couldn't help but express love to her supportive parents.
The 26-year-old beauty queen went to social media today, December 17, to re-post the video of the moment she was announced Miss Universe 2018.
The video, which was taken from the audience area, also showed the reaction of her Australian father Ian Gray, and Filipina mother Normita Magnayon-Gray, who were both physically present at the venue in Thailand that momentous day.
"2 years ago today @missuniverse," Catriona said in her post.
"Honoring my amazing parents whose support and love made me into the woman I am today.
"Even though tears didn't fall when I the crown was placed on my head, but tears fell when I saw this footage the first time. Love you Mama and Papa," she concluded.
Catriona became the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe titleholder. She is now a regular performer at Sunday Noontime Live! and works as an ambassador for various organizations.
