Chai Fonacier will star in Nocebo, an Irish-Filipino co-produced flick set in London and Manila!

Chai Fonacier is part of the cast of the upcoming psychological thriller Nocebo. She stars alongside Hollywood stars Eva Green and Mark Strong.

An article from Variety stated that Chai will play a Filipino caregiver that practices folk medicine to help heal the character of Green, a fashion designer who suffers from a perplexing illness.

The film, directed by Lorcan Fennigan and written by Garret Shenley, is set in London and Manila. It is produced by Emily Leo, Brunella Cocchigla, and Philippine-based producers Bianca Balbuena and Bradley Liew.

In a Facebook post last February 15, Balbuena recalled how Chai had already left for Dublin to start shooting for the film on the said date. This comes after long and tedious months of processing her work visa and other documents.

Chai is an award-winning indie actress, best known for her roles in Patay Na Si Hesus and Respeto. She has also appeared in the films Born Beautiful and Sakaling Maging Tayo.
