Angelu De Leon took some 90s kids down memory lane when she posted photos from the hit series T.G.I.S. in celebration of its 24th year since the airing of its first episode.

“Happy 24! #TGIS #GROUPHUG#thankGoditsSabado” De Leon captioned on her Instagram post.

The drama series became a hit among teen viewers from 1995-1999, but, until now, it still captures the hearts of many fans. Some fans wrote on De Leon’s post and reminisced about the good times the show brought them back in the day.

The show propelled many of its lead teen stars into showbiz popularity, most notably its first batch members like De Leon, Bobby Andrews, Michael Flores, Onemig Bondoc, Rica Peralejo, and Ciara Sotto.

Batch 2 launched some household names in the showbiz industry today, like Sunshine Dizon, one of the Kapuso network’s acclaimed actresses, and Dingdong Dantes, the GMA-7’s very own Primetime King.

Both batches held a T.G.I.S. reunion last August 2018, hosted by Sotto.

The popular 90s series also became a film, releasing T.G.I.S. The Movie in 1997 under Viva Films and GMA Films.
