Enchong Dee is back in the Knowledge Channel for the third season of Agricoolture, a show that features different agricultural activities that can be turned into businesses.
Dee showed how he is the perfect host for the show when he revealed last Thursday, September 5, at the press launch for the all-day educational channel, that he recently ventured into the agriculture business via an organic dragonfruit farm.
“So, I invested there and sabi ko nga there’s a way on how to--kasi no-brainer siya eh,” the actor-businessman said. “For me, hindi mo siya kailangan pag-isipan ng dalawang beses kasi unang-una, it’s food supply. Number two, you’re taking care of the environment. [...] Feeling ko kung may mag-offer man sa inyo, go for it!”
However, when people are not into investing, Enchong said farming is a great alternative. He explains how you can have your own farm right in your own backyard.
“Now, all over the world, you can have your own farm, your own garden at your own backyard,” he said. “Kahit nasa condo ka? Vertical farming? You can do it! If you’re really serious about not only the environment but your health also kasi connected naman lahat ’yon eh.”
Apart from his newest business venture, Enchong was also asked about his inclination to politics and community service. Was it part of his plans even when he was young?
“Kasi ako, pakiramdam ko, parang selfish kung tatanggapin ko lang lahat.” he said. “Kung meron akong way para i-give back from swimming to education to business, kung pwede ko siyang magawa, okay din. Para, at least, ’pag dumating ’yong panahon na hinarap ko ’yong Diyos, at least, hindi ka mapapahiya.”
