Gab Valenciano will soon take the lead of Willie Revillame's variety show Wowowin Primetime, an extension of the show every weekend.

The younger son of Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano will be the director of the show that will air every Saturday night starting February 15 on GMA-7.

Today, January 21, Gab shared on Instagram his reflections about achieving his dream of being a director.

He posted photos taken inside the Wowowin studio and wrote: “Taking this time to simply reflect on my life and let all of you know that if you wait long enough, try hard enough and hope deep enough, good things can happen.

"Three years ago I was desperate for a job. I had aspirations on becoming a director but it just never fell through.

"Then it dawned to me, it’s not good enough to be good at what you do. You need to be good within. So I had to check myself and see what adjustments needed to be made. Character speaks louder than actions."

The dancer and director also thanked the producer and TV host, Willie Revillame, for the support he has been receiving from him in order to achieve his dreams.

"I want to thank Kuya Wil for believing in me since day one. His support has been endless and his creative genius and experience allows me to stretch my imagination even further."

Gab also extended his gratitude to all the men and women behind the show for receiving and welcoming him as part of the Wowowin family.

"And to the staff and crew, thank you for welcoming me. I love you all. I will do my very best.”

He also did not forget to thank God for this new blessing.

"And last but not the least, thank You Lord. All glory belongs to You and You alone."

Gab ended his post by borrowing Willie's famous line: "Let’s do this! Bigyan ng jacket yan!!"

Congratulations, Gab!
