She just signed four more years of endorsement contract.

Back to gaming. Ragnarok Mobile Eternal Love ang latest favorite online game ni Myrtle at sa Southeast Asian tournament nga ng nasabing game kamakailan, pumasok sa top-100 ang kanyang grupo and she was hailed as one of the top Pinoy players.

“I played the game Ragnarok mobile in Triple App tapos nag-group leader din ako for the guild Exodiac,” masayang pagbabalita ni Myrtle. “So, currently parang medyo top guild po kami sa Ragnarok and it’s very rare kasi for a female gamer to get into the Top 100 rank para sa game na ito...

“Thousands competed to be in the Top 600. Tapos it is the first time for a long time na maraming Filipina na nakapasok. I think I was the highest-ranking Filipina pero may mas mataas pa sa akin na Pinoy.

“I played together with teammates from Malaysia to Singapore... so ’yong team namin was dalawang Filipino, tatlong Malaysian, tapos isang Singaporean. So, napalaban ’yong English ko doon kasi naglalaro ako ng video game tapos alam mo ’yong may i-uutos ka pero kailangan mo munang i-translate sa English... so masaya siya dahil doon nagkaroon din ako ng mga bagong friends sa other countries. And, of course, parang giving honor din sa Philippines kasi sa previous Season walang nasa Top 100 noong previous Season. Parang it was first the time after one season na may Filipino na nakapasok.”

UP (University of the Philippines, with a degree in broadcast communication).

Kaya naman kahit bigatin na siya at guild leader na sa gaming community (she used to compete as part of Team Philippines for Player Unknown’s Battle Grounds or PUBG Mobile) at may malakas na hatak sa mga kabataan, hindi pa rin daw niya ine-encourage ang mga estudyante to spend too much time on gaming.

“Dapat alam nila ’yong priorities nila in life,” payo ni Myrtle. “Dapat they should start their day doing productive tasks...’yong mga homework nila sa school...and the only time they should do their video game is after that.

“Ako din kasi, e. I didn’t play video games when I was in college kasi I knew how bad it could affect my schooling. And during that time I was also working [sa showbiz]. So, nu’ng time na ’yon I didn’t spend as much time in video games. Ngayon lang that I finally got free time parang na-appreciate ko talaga.

“So, sa mga students, know your priorities and value what’s more important and be productive. You can’t ever repeat the same day again. So, value every minute and every second of your time.”

Very well said.
