Isabelle Daza, who looked dazzling and classy at the ABS-CBN Ball last Saturday, September 14, took to Instagram today yesterday to share the story behind her beautiful blue gown that she wore as she strut the event’s red carpet.
Belle actually donned and showcased her mom Gloria Diaz’s 25-year-old classic Filipiniana gown to the said ball. It’s the same gown that Gloria wore when she crowned Ms. India, Sushmita Sen, as Miss Universe 1994.
Belle’s mom was tasked to do the crowning duties at that time because the Philippines hosted the prestigious pageant in 1994 as Gloria herself was a Miss Universe (1969).
On IG, Belle revealed: “Wore my mom’s Filipiñana which she used to crown Ms.India in 1994. I feel like sustainable is the new vintage. Made by Peppito Albert #WhoWoreItAfter #abscbnball2019."
This is not the first time Belle gave life to her mom’s vintage ensemble. The former Miss Universe shared via Instagram photos of her daughter wearing the same dress in different occasions. See it for yourself!
