Stay Well.”
“I’m very happy with this career path. I’m very, very happy,” sagot ni Iya. “And it’s funny because, you know, when I entered the industry I’d never intended for it to be a career of mine. I really wanted to be a singer and a dancer.”
Matatandaan na during her early years in showbiz ay naging VJ s’ya sa music channel ng ABS-CBN na Myx, and also became a regular performer sa musical variety show na ASAP, aside from doing teleseryes and drama anthologies.
She also co-hosted two seasons of U Can Dance, a reality dance competition in 2016 and 2017.
“And He led me to this. I love it and I really feel so lucky and so blessed to be here and to still be enjoying what I’m doing.”
Sa pagbabalik n’ya kasi way back 2014 sa GMA Network ay naging regular showbiz news anchor si Iya sa 24 Oras at co-host ni Solenn Heussaff sa lifestyle informative show na Taste Buddies.
Sa ngayon ay ang Mars Pa More ang isa sa regular show ni Iya kung saan kasama n’ya si Camille Prats.
My Korean Jagiya starring Heart Evangelita and Korean actor Alexander Lee.
“I still would [do acting] when given the opportunity, when given the right opportunity,” pahayag ng Filipino-Australian star. “It’s definitely something I would still do.”
“My bosses in GMA can attest to that, from Taste Buddies to Mars Pa More, masarap talaga ako kumain.”
Gayunpaman, naging malaking tulong daw ang cooking show nila kaya mas confident at palaban na s’ya ngayon sa kusina.
“What has changed are my cooking habits,” aniya. “I have definitely become so much more confident and comfortable being in the kitchen.”
Pagpapatuloy pa ng aktres, “Dati talaga parang nagpo-procrastinate pa ako, e. Parang nakakatamad. Now it’s such a joy to be in the kitchen and even if I don’t know or have nothing exactly prepared.
“I look forward to experimenting. Ganu’n na kalakas ‘yung loob ko. I am not afraid to veer away from the recipe and to experiment and try something new,” pagtatapos ni Iya.
Mapapanood ang season 2 ng “Eat Well, Live Well. Stay Well.” nina Iya at Chef Jose simula ngayong July 2, bago mag-Eat Bulaga! sa GMA Network.
