It was Wednesday, January 8, when JaDine fans took to Nadine’s defense by trending the hashtag #SuicideIsNotAJokeJobert and #ApologizeToNadine on Twitter.
It was when talent manager-radio host Jobert Sucaldito first took to his radio show, Showbuzz on DZMM, to voice out his opinion on Nadine Lustre and how she chided Ricky Lo and his column on her alleged break-up with James Reid.
Jobert joked about Nadine’s recent Instagram post wearing a bikini and showing her backside by the terrace of a building.
“Unang-una, may labas pa ang pwet. May naka-t-back pa doon sa building tapos may mga nakalagay pa na caption na parang gustong tumalon,” Jobert spoke of Nadine’s recent Instagram post. “Sana tumalon na lang kung gano’n din naman pala.”
Fans went livid on Twitter, trending the abovementioned hashtags, slamming Jobert for his joke on suicide.
Nadine Lustre is not weak. People with mental health are not weak. They are brave and courageous for fighting an invisible demon and to be able to smile even if everything is a mess inside.

As of writing, the hashtags are trending in the Philippines at number 1 and number 4, respectively.
It could be recalled last Sunday, January 5 is when the Gawad Urian award-winning actress took to her Instagram Story to slam the veteran entertainment columnist, saying how low it was to publish the said column that even mentioned her mental health condition and the death of her late brother.

"James is handling the breakup with care to cushion the impact on Nadine who has admitted grappling with mental illness (he has a brother who committed suicide)," Lo said in his column published last Saturday, January 4.
Three days later, Sucaldito took to his radio show to air out his dismay over Nadine’s statement regarding Lo.
“Unang-una, gusto naming ipaalam sa lahat, mga fans ng JaDine, hindi kami ang may pakulo ng lahat ng ito,” he told radio listeners. “Wala kaming alam sa buhay ng mga idol ninyo. Kayo, sila, ang may gawa-gawa ng kwento ng pinagkamali namin dahil pinatulan namin. Diba kaya medyo lumaki itong usapan? Diba ’yon naman ang gusto nila?”
The radio host added more fuel to the fire on Facebook, airing out his pity and dismay to Nadine, who he believes “thinks she’s that big already.”
“Mahal ko ang batang iyan pero there are things na kailangan niyang maintindihan sa mundong ito,” he wrote. “It's not just about things for herself - dapat marunong siyang umintindi ng salitang RESPETO sa mundong ginagalawan namin.”
Jobert added that Nadine should not have answered sarcastically to Lo, and should have opted to call the entertainment editor and told her side off the story instead.
“Hindi yung sasabihin niyang "as if you know so much about me" or something to that effect with matching ‘you cannot even spell my last name right’ which is near impossible. 'Tapos dinugtungan pa niya ng ‘Nu na, 2020 na’ na parang super angas ang dating.” he sounded off.
He, then left Nadine a piece of advice, asking her to google the name “Ricky Lo” and see what kind of journalist he is and saying he is on the most respected in the industry.
“Baka di mo lang alam Ining pero mind you - you did a great insult on his person as a journalist. Masyado kang nag-feeling above him or many of us - na kaya mo siyang maliitin. Everything that Ricko Lo wrote about you, even the mental illness angle, were researched,” he continued. “Galing din sa 'yo lahat iyon. Hindi gawa-gawa iyon. You were even quoted to have said na magpapakamatay ka pag iniwan ka ni James Reid, di ba? That's a sign of depression or mental illness na isang seryosong isyu nga sa isang tao.”
In capital letters, Jobert added that Ricky Lo deserves an apology from the actress, saying that if she got to disrespect a journalist like him, what more of his other colleagues in the industry.
“Bawas lang ng yabang bao pa mahuli ang lahat. Hindi kami makapapayag na mabastos ng kahit sinong celebrity sa mundong ito pag wala sa katwiran.” he said.
Jobert added more, accusing Nadine and James that the entire break-up rumor was started by them.
“Nag-ingay ka lang pala para pag-usapan ang palamlam nang loveteam ninyo dahil umalis ka na rin sa Viva to join James Reid's Careless Management put up by James' dad. Nag-ingay ka lang para kiligin ang mga fans ninyo dahil may niluluto kayong mga projects together.” he said.
He concluded the status by saying the only fault of journalists was to agree to write about the said rumor, saying the JaDine love team “took them for a ride.”
“Congratulations then! Nagtagumpay kayo sa first phase ng drama ninyo pero do you think that the public will support you after this? NILOKO NIYO LANG KAMI! Iyon na iyon. Sayang ang pagmamahal namin sa iyo Nadine - you USED us. Sayang. Sayang talaga. We're so hurt and insulted.” he ended the status.
Nakakaawa rin si Nadine Lustre dahil sa masyado yata niyang isinaisip that she's that big already. Mahal ko ang batang...
