In a short video posted on VIVA TV YouTube channel on June 29, the #Jowable lead stars and real-time celebrity couple shared that they are not yet to put their relationship to the next level.
"Hindi pa e," Jerald quickly answered
Kim also echoed Jerald's statement and said, "Hindi pa."
"Hayaan mo silang magpakasal," Jerald jested, referring to other showbiz couples. "Madami silang pera."
Kim’s on and off-screen leading man added that at this point, he and Kim are simply enjoying their journey in knowing each other better and that they don’t stress themselves with the pressure of getting married.
"I think the only thing that is lacking from [short engagement is to get to really know] themselves... but we respect their decision."
He went on: " For us, we still have, you know, some journeys. There's a path that we're still...pinagdadaanan, e."
They are also, at the moment, enjoying and maximizing their time with the offers and projects they are receiving as far as being artists are concerned.
"We're still maximizing what we can do kasi syempre kapag [kasal na] ibang level na e. Ibang chapter,” explained Je.
Kim agreed with what her boyfriend of almost 6 years shared by saying: "Copy paste."
The singer-actress also shared with Jerald being “consistent” in his ways—which she thinks is his best quality, too—she sees no point in rushing to settle down.
"I think 'yon din 'yong nagustuhan ko sa kanya," Kim said. "Kung ano s'ya nung friends [pa lang] kami, 'yon pa rin s'ya ngayon. Mas malalim lang 'yong samahan namin and with feelings."
Jerald and Kim met as co-stars in the hit Filipino musical Rak of Aegis way back in 2014 and in 2019, they top-billed the blockbuster movie #Jowable. Their first full lenght film as #KimJe tandem, Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam, is just awaiting theater release.
