Joshua Garcia told the press during the virtual conference for Love Unlock: E-numan that there has been no awkwardness between him and ex-girlfriend Julia Barretto during shooting and ever after their break-up.

It was last Monday night, August 10, when former reel-and-real life couple Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto got netizens talking after their friendly conversation on Twitter.

The people saw the love team known as JoshLia joke about the actress controversially unfollowing Joshua in his social media in the past during the height of his well-loved pairing with The Killer Bride co-star Janella Salvador.

During the virtual media conference for their new digital project, Love Unlock: E-Numan, Joshua and Julia were asked by the press how true is that JoshLia is finally reunited after their viral Twitter exchange.

After expressing excitement that they have another project together, Julia says she is happy with the friendship that they have maintaned.

"Ang kinakatuwa lang namin parehas is 'yong friendship talaga na mine-maintain namin." she said. "We have such a good friendship right now and we're both really at ease with each other and nakakapag-asaran pa kami like we were doing last night."

"It's so nice to have that, and I think being good friends and being at peace with each other is the reason why we are both in a really good place right now," Julia added.

At some point in the conference, Joshua and Julia were asked about the positive feedback of their viral Twitter exchange, to which the former jokingly replied that he is waiting for the latter's Instagram "follow back."

He also recalled that he and Julia talked about the issue the second day he was unfollowed by her.

"Actually, pinag-usapan namin before pa. Nagtatawanan din tayo noon sa eroplano," Joshua said. "Noong second day na noon na in-unfollow niya ko, pagkakita ko talaga sa kanya, sabi ko 'Inunfollow mo ko?' tas parang pinagtawanan lang namin."

Another member of the press asked if there was any awkward moments between them during shooting, to which they replied that they never had any in the course of their relationship.

"Wala akong na-encounter na any kind of awkwardness with Josh," Julia said.

"Parang wala naman," Joshua added. "Simula noong naghiwalay kami [...] hindi naman kami nawalan ng connection sa isa't isa. Palaging nagkaka-text naman kami."

Joshua even said that he went to Julia's house a lot of times after the break up.

"Nagpunta pa ko sa bahay niyo before, 'di ba?" Joshua asked Julia, to which she confirmed.

It could be recalled that the couple reportedly broke up last April 2019.

"Baka feeling lang ng mga tao [na awkward kami] kasi, siyempre, naghiwalay kami, pero wala naman po." he said.

Love Unlock: E-numan starring Joshua and Julia will air this Saturday, August 15 alongside another digital project, Love Unlock: Hook Up, starring Arci Muñoz and Gerald Anderson.
