Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo was recently exploited by a weight-loss supplement for using her as an endorser for its product on Facebook.

The actress, who rarely rants or post anything upsetting on her official social media accounts, was forced to use her official Instagram page today to call out the brand to stop attaching her image to their promotions and quoting her for fake reviews to testify about its effectivity.

She swore on IG that she never saw, tried, and will never use the product that is falsely endorsed under her name.

Juday’s full message read: “Once again.. i am not endorsing “PURPLE MANGOSTEEN” .. never saw this product , never tried.. and never will.. hindi ko kilala kung sino ang mga tao sa likod nitong produktong ito.. at kung sino ang gumagawa nito. My team tried reaching out to them, pero walang nagrereply sa kanila.. I DONT HAVE ANY FACEBOOK ACCOUNT ANYMORE...”

The 41-year-old artist reminded the public to be extra mindful about certain brands that boldly use celebrities’ images for advertisements without their consent, not unless it’s the celebrities themselves that post it on their respective social media accounts.

“pls. Beware of people using celebrities to promote their products.. hanggat hindi po mismong ako o kahit na sinong celebrity ang nag post or nagsabing ginagamit namin ang isang produkto, wag na wag po kayong maniniwala.. kaya may mga sarili kaming accounts para mismong sa amin manggagaling ang mga balita na gusto naming iparating sa inyong lahat...”

Judy Ann has yet again clarified that she no longer owns a Facebook account and encouraged people to unfollow fake accounts under her name.

“salamat rin sa mga taong concern at nagtanong kung kunektado ko sa produktong to... if you are following the facebook account under “JUDY ANN AGONCILLO OR JUDY ANN SANTOS AGONCILLO “ pls. Pls. Pls.. unfollow.”

It’s not the first time she experienced this kind of scheme used by some entrepreneurs. The mother of three also slammed a poser on FB offering business opportunities to its followers earlier this year.
