After two months of being quarantined in Puerto Galera, Kris and her boys, Josh and Bimby, were finally able to go home to Quezon City.
Kris and her children were taking their much-needed vacation in a beach-side Mindoro hideaway when the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine was declared, hence, they were forced to stay longer in the said province.
Yesterday, June 3, they finally got their travel permits that allowed them to go back to Manila and bid goodbye to the resort staff who made their two-month stay convenient.
Kris’ first agenda after arriving at their home sweet home is to make a haircut appointment for her eldest son Josh, who just turned 25 years old today, June 4.
She uploaded a photo of her panganay showing his natural curly hair and facial hair which have grown quite long during the lockdown.
In her post, she got sentimental and expressed how grateful she is towards her son for always inspiring her to be “the best mama I can possibly be.”
Her caption read: “By tomorrow, his birthday, he’ll get his haircut & he’ll be shaved- but i wanted all of you to see kuya josh’s natural curls (a part of me wants to make him grow his hair some more but he’s already complaining about the heat)...
“My panganay will turn 25 in a few hours- a full year older than i was when i gave birth to him. in many ways, we’ve grown up together & his innate kindheartedness, generosity, and his ability to only see the good in all situations inspire me to be the best mama i can possibly be... “
She also mentioned that every time people would praise her about her parenting style, it’s all because of her loving sons.
“Whenever you comment that you feel i’m a good parent, the truth is how could i possibly be anything less when i have been blessed with such loving sons? Happy Birthday kuya josh... thank you for filling my existence with LOVE.”
Kris then posted a glimpse of how they started Josh’s special day.
In a separate post, she uploaded photos of her and her panganay holding a bunch of balloons following the colors of the Philippine flag.
To give her son a little something for his day, Kris cooked a simple lunch for the whole family and slightly decorated her place with colors red, yellow and blue, hence, the balloons.
Josh, according to his mom, really loves the country and every morning when they were still staying in Puerto Galera they always watch the “Lupang Hinirang” music video.
“Everyday in Puerto Galera, between 7:30-8 AM, kuya josh would insist that we all had to view the “Lupang Hinirang” music video, stand w/ our right hand above our hearts, sabayan ang pagkanta ng national Anthem and face the open sea... i decided to make kuya’s lunch (na kami kami lang naman sa house) themed around the colors of our flag.”
She continued, “P.S. i included the pics where kuya covered my face & the balloons covered him- mahirap talagang picture-an kapag ang panganay ay lagpas 6’2 at yung mama 5’3 lang.”
Happy Birthday, Josh!!
