Actress LJ Moreno and her husband Jimmy Alapag revealed that they’ve lost their Baby No. 4 through a miscarriage.
It can be recalled that the couple excitedly announced on social media last August 5 that LJ was expecting anew.
However, on their newest vlog entry, uploaded yesterday, September 9, LJ and Jimmy shared the sad news that their Baby No. 4 is gone.
"She actually had an appointment last week," Jimmy said in the video. "That would've been around six weeks...a little past six weeks, still a little in the pregnancy process...”
Then LJ said the doctors didn't find any heartbeat.
"We were supposed to hear the heartbeat that appointment but then we couldn't find one," the 39-year-old actress shared. "But the doctor was saying it could be because it's too early and it could also because of the myoma.”
The mother of three also explained that the doctors found a myoma in her uterus early on, during her first check-up.
"[During] my first appointment, doctors were saying there was growth or myoma in my uterus. Although she said not naman alarming ’cause it was growing the other way, not towards the baby."
She continued: “But then, during the appointment last week, the other OB that checked me was saying it [the myoma] could be the reason why [the heartbeat] wasn't so clear.
“I went back with the next appointment hoping na we could hear na the heartbeat but unfortunately, we still couldn't but the doctor said, we'll still do everything we can."
That's the time, LJ recounted, that she was informed that she must have suffered from a miscarriage.
“She said, 'I just wanna manage your expectations, there is a possibility that you could have [had] a miscarriage.'
“The cause could be the thyroid antibodies that they found in my test," she went on. "I can't really explain what exactly that is but I know if you try to get pregnant, it's not good to have that in your body.
“Anyway, she injected progesterone and put me on more medication and she said, 'We'll look, we'll try again in the next appointment.'
“So when we went in the next appointment, unfortunately, we found out na wala na talaga.
“I had a, they called it a miscarriage cause I didn't bleed at first but the pregnancy stopped, the baby stopped.”
Husband Jimmy expressed sadness because of what happened to his wife and baby.
"Not easy news to find out but at the same time we have absolute faith in God and His plan for us as a married couple and more importantly as a family," the Alab Pilipinas coach said on the vlog.
"And as disappointing as it is, my biggest concern is making sure that LJ is okay and having to tell the kids," he added.
LJ admitted that they were having a hard time telling their children about the sad news.
"The hardest part was talking to the kids knowing how excited they were," she said.
At present, the couple is looking at the silver lining in this unfortunate event.
"Because of this pregnancy, I found out there are small, really small lang naman, nothing to be alarmed about but it's something na good na we found early," LJ told.
"There's small... three small nodules, like sa thyroid. But I was given medication for that. If this pregnancy didn't happen I wouldn't even know. It could have grown bigger without me even knowing," she concluded.
The celebrity couple, who marked their 10th wedding anniversary last August 19, was blessed with three children, namely Ian, Keona, and Calen Asher.
