After stunning the audience at the Arab Fashion Week last year, Maymay Entrata has set her eyes, this time, to grace the runways of New York, the fashion capital of the United States.
Josh Yugen, publisher and Editor-in-chief of Xpedition Magazine in the Middle East, shared the good news via Instagram stories as the fashion enthusiast uploaded a screenshot of his Facetime video with Maymay.
The Instagram story was captioned: “I know you were a bit nervous but I think you still nailed it. I can’t wait for the result of your audition.” Yugen also included the hashtag: “#NYFS2020”
The Filipino entrepreneur and fashion maven is Maymay’s mentor when she strutted the runway at the Arab Fashion Week in Dubai last November 21, 2018—making her the first Filipina to walk the said fashion show. At that time, she served as the muse of designer Furne One for his Amato Couture Fashion Show.
And Yugen continues to support her as she auditions for yet another international fashion show.
The former “Pinoy Big Brother” big winner responded with an appreciation post for her mentor, writing, “Kahit ano pong mangyari all Glory to God! Maraming salamat po Sir @josh_yugen Ms. @furneamato.”
Based on the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s website, the first set of shows for NYFW 2020 will happen from Feb. 7 to 12.
Will we be seeing Maymay conquering the New York fashion scene next year? We can’t wait!
