Maja Salvador explains her closeness with The Killer Bride co-star and blood relative Janella Salvador and her thoughts on her possibly becoming the next femme fatale of Philippine television!

During an interview after the grand media launch of the upcoming ABS-CBN series The Killer Bride, Maja Salvador was asked why she was not that close with co-star and blood relative Janella Salvador before. She stated that just because they share a family name does not mean she can force a bond between them. Maja explained during the launch that Janella is her distant niece.

However, despite being a distant aunt, Maja firmly said that she does not want to be called tita and before taping had commenced, they have grown a close bond, sharing some veteran advice for the young actress.

Siyempre, nagpaka-ate. Hindi nagpaka-tita!” Maja joked.

She then explains their sisterly bond, telling Janella that in order for them to help each other, they need to be open in their relationship.

Known for her femme fatale roles such as Nicole Esquivel from The Legal Wife and Lily Cruz from Wildflower, Maja was then asked if Janella could step up to the plate and be the next femme fatale of Philippine television.

Ayoko pong pangunahan. Bawat artista, may oras, may kanya-kanyang ibibigay,” she explained. Iba ’yong timbre niya.
