Former child star Makisig Morales wedded Filipina-Australian beauty queen Nicole Joson in a beautiful  sunset beach wedding in La Perouse in Sydney, Australia on Monday, June 17.

The two got engaged over a romantic fancy dinner they had back in August 31, 2018. Makisig popped the question on a plate of dessert treats with written words, “Will you marry me?.”

After being engaged for almost a year, they finally exchanged wedding vows with only a few relatives to witness the ceremony.

Nicole penned a long emotional message for her husband of three days and posted it on Instagram yesterday. And a part of her heartwarming message read: “So marry the man whose love is like God’s: faithful, eternal, and steadfast. This kind of love sticks through the hardest moments and buoys you through every storm. It’s a slow love, mundane in its dailyness. But it’s the kind of love you wake up to every morning... because you can trust that it will still be there. I am yours and you are mine. @makisig228.”

Meanwhile, Makisig shared a photo of their nuptial ceremony via Instagram last Wednesday, June 19, with this Bible verse as his caption: “‘Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, …’ -Ephesians 5:25-33.”

The 22-year-old Bagani actor continued, “I did not look for love, but instead love found me and brought me back to him. I am grateful to be your other half my love. I love you @_nicolejoson_.”

At age five, Makisig’s first stint in showbiz was when he joined a segment of the old Kapamilya noontime show Magandang Tanghali Bayan called Duet Bulilit. When he turned 9, Makisig then competed in a TV singing contest, Little Big Star, where he bagged the second place. But he became a household name when he portrayed the title role Super Inggo in 2007.

Makisig and his family decided to move to Australia in 2014 but he went back to the Philippines for his come.back TV role in the fantaserye Bagani, with stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil in 2018.
