Maxine Medina will star in her first Kapuso series!

Maxine Medina is set to star in her first project under GMA-7 in the form of the primetime series First Yaya.

Last week, the beauty queen and actress posted Instagram photos of her in the lock-in taping for the series.

In her post dated November 26, Maxine introduced her character named Lorraine.

By November 27, she posted a group photo with the actresses playing the presidential servants, namely Cai Cortez, Kakai Bautista, and Sanya Lopez, the latter playing lead character Yaya Melody.

Based on her caption, Maxine will probably play the main antagonist of First Yaya.

“You are lucky that I included you to my photoshoot Melody. Next time not anymore... #firstyaya” she wrote.

Sanya replied on the post in the comments section, writing: “Pinilit nyo nga lang po ako mam loraine . La naman akong choice”

Before acting, Maxine competed for Binibining Pilipinas where she was chosen to represent the country for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

She, then, starred in Beauty In A Bottle produced by Quantum Films and distributed by Star Cinema.

Following her stint in Miss Universe 2016 wherein she was in the Top 6, she appeared in various ABS-CBN shows.

Her first TV project was the show Hanggang Saan, acting opposite Arjo Atayde and Sue Ramirez from November 2017 to April 2018.

By October 2018, Maxine was cast in the afternoon drama series Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Los Bastardos, playing the leading lady of series lead Jake Cuenca. The show packed up last September 2019.

After doing several episodes for the crime-drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo, her last project with the Kapamilya network was the iWant original series Beauty Queens starring Gloria Diaz and Winwyn Marquez, which premiered last July 2020.
