May sariling theme park na ang iconic ’90s supermodel na si Tyra Banks at ang tawag niya rito at ModelLand.
Matatagpuan ang beauty theme park sa Santa Monica, California at magbubukas na ito on May 1, 2020.
Last year pa in-announce ni Tyra ang tungkol sa kanyang bubuksang theme park na based on her 2010 young adult book series.
“I am excited to bring ModelLand to my hometown in L.A. after dreaming about it for so many years.
“I always loved discovering unique and barrier-breaking talent on America’s Next Top Model and I wanted to give that same love to everyone, so I created a physical space to do that.” sey ni Tyra sa kanyang interview with Los Angeles Times.
The theme park’s website describes it as “the first of its kind experiential attraction that will emulate a fantasy version of the modeling world with state-of-the-art interactive entertainment where beauty, fantasy, tech, theater, retail and an eating extravaganza collide.”
Nais ni Tyra na ang lahat ng bibisita sa kanyang theme park is to “undertake a transformational journey to celebrate their unique beauty.”
Dagdag pa ng supermodel na inabot ng sampung taon bago maging reality ang kanyang ModelLand.
“Modelland has been 10 intense years in the making.
“It has been my ultimate dream and I have worked tirelessly with laser-focused tunnel vision to bring it to fruition.
“Modelland will awaken your childlike glee by entertaining and educating in unexpected ways that will make learning about oneself fierce and fun. I want people to feel seen and validated.
“Modelland will provide the tools for them to do so and empower them to embrace, adorn and celebrate their own unique beauty.”
Na-inspire raw si Tyra na itayo ang ModelLand dahil sa ilang beses niyang pagpasyal noon sa Disneyland noong bata pa siya.
“Imagine Disneyland meets the reality show America's Next Top Model. That’s the idea.
“America's Next Top Model was a show that few wannabe models starred in while millions watched. There was the competition to be the best and be chosen as number one. ModelLand is a show, where anybody can come and be the star of that show in an immersive attraction.
“There are challenges every single day when you're doing something that has never been done before. Especially when you're showing people something that they don't even know they want until they see it.”
General access tickets start at $39 for children and $59 for adults. The “Fantascene Photoshoot” package costs $549 and includes a photo shoot, treats, hair styling, wardrobe change and more.
The “Fantascene Dream” package costs $1,495, and includes a personal consultation with a fashion and beauty expert, a handmade ModelLand elixir, “artisanal truffles,” more photographs and wardrobe changes, and more.
Makikita rin daw ng visitors ng ModelLand si Tyra na paikot-ikot sa kanyang 21,000 acre theme park.
“This is my baby. I’m going to be there a lot. I might be discovering somebody that never thought that she could do a cosmetics campaign and has no desire to be a professional model. I’m going to make her a professional model even if it's just for a day.”
