Nanay ni Taylor Swift, may brain tumor

March 2019 nang isapubliko ni Taylor na muling bumalik ang cancer sa katawan ng kanyang ina. “Both of my parents have had cancer, and my mom is now fighting her battle with it again. It's taught me that there are real problems and then there's everything else. My mom's cancer is a real problem.”

“The symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we've ever been through with her cancer before. So it's just been a really hard time for us as a family,” malungkot na pahayag ng singer.

In December 2019, in-announce ni Taylor na ang kanyang Lover concert tour will have fewer scheduled dates dahil mas gusto niyang makasama ang kanyang inang maysakit ngayon.

“This is a year where I have to be there for my family -- there's a lot of question marks throughout the next year, so I wanted to make sure that I could go home.

“I mean, we don't know what is going to happen. We don't know what treatment we're going to choose.

“It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what's going on.”

Without a doubt, sobrang mahal ni Taylor ang kanyang ina at sine-share niya ito parati sa kanyang mga fans and followers.

“Everyone loves their mom; everyone's got an important mom.

"But for me, she's really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first.

“So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness.”

Lumabas ang revelation na ito ni Taylor in time para sa kanyang Netflix-produced documentary na Taylor Swift: Miss Americana na magkakaroon ng opening night gala premiere sa Sundance Film Festival on January 23. Magkakaroon naman ito ng theatrical release and Netflix streaming on January 31.

Taylor Swift: Miss Americana is a documentary film, directed by Lana Wilson, that follows American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and her life over the course of several years of her career.

Netflix described the film as a “raw and emotionally revealing look” at Swift "during a transformational period in her life as she learns to embrace her role not only as a songwriter and performer, but as a woman harnessing the full power of her voice.”
