Agad na nagpadala ng official statement ang pamilya ng premyadong aktor na si Eddie Garcia tungkol sa pagko-collapse nito kaninang umaga, June 8, habang nagte-taping ng Rosang Agimat sa Tondo, Manila.
Ang statement ay ipinadaan through GMA-7, ang TV network na namamahala sa Rosang Agimat, ang comeback project ng magaling na aktor sa GMA, matapos ang matagal na pamamalagi nito sa ABS-CBN.
Kinumpirma sa official statement ang haka-haka sa social media na heart attack ang dahilan ng pagko-collapse ng magaling na aktor. Ayon sa statement, “severe heart attack” ito at kasalukuyan pa ring nasa kritikal na kundisyon ang aktor dahil dito.
Humihiling pa rin ang pamilya ng aktor ng patuloy na pagdarasal.

“Manoy Eddie Garcia was at a taping this Saturday morning when he suffered from a severe heart attack. He is still under critical observation and all his doctors are doing their best to assure that he gets the best care.
“Our family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all those who have expressed concern and extended prayers. Please continue praying for Tito Eddie’s fast recovery. At 90, he is still doing what he loves most, acting. He is a pillar of the industry and is very passionate about his craft. We would like to request his fans and everyone to pray with us so he could get better the soonest time possible. Thank you.”
