Fake newsmakers have been all over the virtual world spreading lies to create social panic and/or destroy someone's reputation. And their latest victim is Kapuso teen star Elijah Alejo.
Netizens, specifically those who tagged themselves as Duterte's Diehard Supporters [DDS] have been actively bashing the young actress due to her viral photo that came with a quote against Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
The photo, which came with a grammatically wrong anti-Duterte message, was posted last March 3 on Solid Sarah Z Duterte 2022, a politics-related Facebook page with more than 40K followers.
The alleged Elijah Alejo-written caption read:
“Duterte is a biggest threat of all filipino for shutting-up Press Freedom and democracy, like a selfishness Dictator.
"Kahit pangulo man sya ng bansa, bakit nya parang bumabalik tayo sa kasamaan ng mga Marcos.
"Di ba nila na-realized ung ginawa ng isang salbahe at bastos na Duterte?"

The Solid Sarah Z Duterte 2022 FB page that posted Elijah’s photo and caption then sparked hate reactions targetting Elijah by writing:
"Ang virus nasa LP [Liberal Party]!”.
“Regardless of what you think, Duterte is still undeniably popular. Kahit bigyan mo pa ako ng isang libong Disenteng Presidente, hindi ko ipagpapalit ang Palamura na si Duterte!
“Kayo na humusga. Sa mga nanlait kay Tatay Digong.
The caption was ended with: #ProtectDu30 and ctto.
The said Facebook post has already amassed more than 2.8K reactions, 1.1K shares and 4.9K comments, which are mostly negative criticism against the young celebrity.
The matter did not escape the attention of the Prima Donnas star herself. She took to the comment section of the said post to defend herself and deny any attributions to the quote written therein.
Elijah even dared the followers of the said FB page to present proof that the post was really hers.
"What a nice LIE to make people hate me," Elijah said in her comment. "I never said THAT PARAGRAPH FOR YOUR INFORMATION PO.
"I dare you na ilabas mo yung PINOST KO NA GANYAN PO."
Elijah also took a screenshot of said FB page posting and posted about it on her own FB page, where she again denied the quotation and dared the said FB page admin to show its main source.
"Spreading lies about me now? I never said that ‘Duterte is a biggest threat of all Filipino blah blah blah.’
"Sige Solid Sarah Z Duterte 2022. Ilabas mo yung sinabi kong ganyan. I dare you na ipost mo then itag mo itong OFFICIAL ACCOUNT ko.
"I dare you," the actress concluded.

Elijah’s fellow Kapuso star Barbara Miguel came to her friend’s defense. She also shared the same “fake” photo post and captioned it with: "My Elijah Alejo will never EVER say those mean things."
Elijah Alejo plays as the antagonist Brianna in the top-rating afternoon drama Prima Donnas which airs from Monday to Saturday on GMA Network.
