“My daughter, inuudyok naman nila. Sabi ko my daughter is not running. I have told Inday not to run kasi naawa ako sa dadaanan niya na dinaanan ko,” ani ni Pres. Duterte.

Hindi ito pambabae. Alam mo, the emotional set-up of a woman and a man is totally different. Maging gago ka dito. That is the sad story,” dagdag pa n’ya.

Tanong sa Ilongga beauty queen: “President Duterte recently made a remark that the presidency was no job for a woman because of their emotional differences to men. What are your thoughts on this?”

“Well, I do respect the president but I completely disagree with his thought,” panimula ng 24-year-old lecturer-turned-beauty queen.

“In our country, we already had two female leaders and by doing that, women are capable as men in handling a nation,” pagpapatuloy pa n’ya while referring to the two female Philippine presidents Corazon Aquino and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

“I just want to give an example to what happened in New Zealand in conquering COVID virus in which their female leader was able to nurse a newborn, and at the same time, she was able to become a mother to her land,” lahad pa n’ya.

“I am a woman and I believe that my emotions do make part in my leadership skills. And I have so much heart and I have so much calling in being a leader, actually… I can lead my country because I have the power to do so,” dagdag pa n’ya.

Paliwanag pa ng Pinay contender to the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, nasa panahon na daw tayo kung kailan pantay na dapat ang tingin ng lipunan sa kalalakihan at kababaihan.

“We live in an era in which we need to treat men and women equally,” esplika pa n’ya. “We need to give them the same opportunities.

“I won’t agree with something like this because I know my capabilities and strength as a woman. And I know that I can make a difference, so much difference.

“We need female leaders, leaders who will put their emotions in making decisions it’s not all about experience. Sometimes, you really need to put your emotion and to be the mother of your land.”

“If there’s gonna be one aspect of being a leader that I would like to highlight, that is being honest. Because all the good things go after that,” sey pa n’ya.

“An honest leader is somebody who is just, who is humane but most importantly, he or she is accountable of what is happening in his or her country.”

“This is gonna give opportunities to our children, to build a better society for the future. I hope this 2022, Filipinos will be smarter and we will choose the best possible leaders for our country,” pagtatapos ni Rabiya.
