In a uniformed post on Instagram, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati have officially postponed their wedding on Saturday, March 14, which will take place in an undisclosed venue, saying they do not want to put anyone at risk.
“As much as we want to celebrate our love with our family and friends, in light of the recent situation we have decided to postpone our wedding as we do not want to put anyone at risk.” the celebrity couple wrote on Thursday, March 12.
They also wrote their messages of gratitude for those who flew and worked hard to prepare for their wedding day.
“We only wish good health for everyone and we hope to celebrate with you as soon as things get better,” they concluded in their announcement. “Much love, Richard & Sarah.”
Apart from their official announcement on the abovementioned social media platform, Richard and Sarah have already begun texting invited guests.
It could be recalled that the couple has 30 pairs of godparents for the wedding, with a list circulating around the Internet. The list includes high-ranking government officials, including President of the Republic of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte.
Celebrity colleagues, loved ones, and fans have expressed support for Richard and Sarah’s heartbreaking yet responsible decision to postpone their nuptials.
Such a responsible move, you two! We hope we can witness your special day soon!
