In an Instagram post on Sunday, October 11, Romnick Sarmenta revealed that his girlfriend, actress Barbara Ruaro, is pregnant with their first child.
The post featured a photo of the pregnancy test Barbara took, which manifested positive, and a caption from Romnick saying he is "Infinitely Blessed with Your Affirmation."
"Iba Ka Panginoon, maraming salamat Po," the actor added.
Likewise, on her Instagram page, Barbara also showed photos of the positive pregnancy test and thanked God for the gift of life.
“The cross that appeared on my test and this miracle as a whole is Your loudest yet most comforting affirmation. I praise and thank You for my Nicko, and all our friends and families who have expressed and continue to show their love and undying support. See you on February, Little Bean,” Barbara wrote.
Rumors regarding Romnick and Barbara's relationship started circulating last June. In the same month, Romnick confirmed the news in an Instagram post.
"B L E S S E D. Overjoyed and happy. That's what you make me,” he wrote. "Thank you for this blessing. The colours that you bring. I thank God for you and all that you are. You're special to me. I love you Bie.”
Romnick was previously married to actress Harlene Bautista for 19 years. Within those years, they had five children.
Last 2018, Romnick and Harlene announced that they will be separating. In an open letter, the actor clarified that no third party was involved when it came to their split.
Currently, Herlene is dating Federico Moreno, the son of the late German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.
Romnick is one of many famous teen heartthrobs back in the 1980s. In recent times, he played a guest role in the action-drama series FPJ's Ang Probinsyano.
Barbara, on the other hand, played supporting roles in the film Kung Paano Siya Nawala starring JM De Guzman and Rhian Ramos and iWant offerings The Tapes starring Sam Milby and Yassi Pressman and Past Present Perfect starring Shaina Magdayao and Loisa Andalio.
