Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati, is now in recovery after figuring in a drowning accident recently at General Luna, Siargao.
According to Sarah, her mom drowned because of strong currents in the area where she was swimming. The actress added that her mom had been taking swimming lessons daily and “has been good at it” but that she could not “fight mother nature.”
Sarah, who said that she has been “crying and shaking,” shared that her father Abdel saved her mom and eventually brought her to Metropolitan Doctors Medical Clinic in Siargao, where Mrs. Lahbati is now conscious and recovering.
“She’s resting because she lost a lot of blood when she vomited [after drowning],” Sarah added.
The actress went on to say that she will pick up her mother tomorrow as there are no flights to Siargao today.
