Jazz artist Jacqui Magno died earlier this afternoon, June 21, reportedly from pancreatic cancer.
The 65-year-old music icon passed on at exactly 4:05 PM at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) Memorial Hospital in Quezon, City.
The sad news was yet another shock for the Philippine Entertainment Industry, that is yet to recover from grieving the passing of showbiz pillar Eddie Garcia yesterday.
Showbiz personalities, especially those from the music scene, are now mourning anew and sharing their grief on social media.
Rest In Peace, Jacqui Magno. I still remember the first time we took a trip to Singapore as ASEAN representatives with Ray-An Fuentes, Grace Amilbangsa, Lorrie Ilustre, Florante de Leon and Tony Espejo. Your voice... https://t.co/0MzKhORYjS

The jazz idol started her professional career in the band called Genesis band. But she needed to stop performing for a while to give birth to her child and three months after she came back and gained more popularity through the Circus Band that performed regularly during the 70’s.
