“Solenn's one of the kindest artista I met and *whispers* got the chance to work with... and as much as I want to say na she meant well, this ain't it eh. Using poverty as your aesthetic is just.... insensitive,” pahayag ng isang netizen.

Ani ng isa pang Twitter user: “I just wanna know wtf Solenn was hoping to achieve with this. Like what is she trying to say? If she’s trying to prove how out-of-touch she is with the Filipino masses, then this definitely proves it.”

“[P]overty isn't an aesthetic,” lahad ng isa pang netizen. “[W]hat solenn did is angering as it just shows out out of touch the wealthy are from the harsh reality most filipinos live in. they literally used the conditions of urban poverty as a damn prop for their exhibit so they could recieve clout.”

“[You’re a great artist but this photo was done in poor taste,” sey ng netizen sa comment section. “Using poverty to promote your art is very insensitive. Rich people and their poverty porn.”
“Sorry this is not my intention at all,” paliwanag n’ya. “If this was shot in the middle of BGC then you would say I live in a bubble. I love my country and everything that makes it what it is. Maybe when you see the full exhibit you will understand what I’m trying to bring to light.”
“Because negativity is toxic,” tugon ni Solenn sa kanya. “People who are quick to judge are toxic. That’s what happened to the world when social media became too easy to use.”
“I don’t see anything wrong with this photo of Solenn,” lahad ng isang follower. “If this is done by a nobody and a poor person, i’m pretty sure people will praise it and call it ART. If this is done by a somebody and a rich person, they will call it ARTE. Stop being too sensitive.”

“Surprisingly, I like Solenn's art...and I see nothing wrong with the shot in question,” pahayag naman ng isa pa. “If anything, I say it's brilliant since people noticed & wasn't that the intended purpose, anyway? Poverty porn never entered my mind. Just thought it's dramatic. I guess, to each his own.”

“I sincerely apologise and will post when I jave the full story nalang,” sey ni Solenn.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about the comments you guys left on the photo I posted,” panimula n’ya sa kanyang post.
“I know it sparked some debate and there were both good and bad takes on it,” aniya. “While I appreciate the encouragement some shared, I also want to apologize to those I have hurt.”
“Wanted to shoot it in a typical street, those we drive by everyday,” lahad ni Solenn. “Streets full of life, since all my paintings are about the people we see. Not the rich or the poor but people for who they are. Humanity.
“The choice of painting was to show the environmental side. The abundance and balance of what life was, but also growth amd hope.”
“Though yes, art is subjective, and your thoughts made me more sensitive to different perspectives on my art and this really was a learning experience for me,” pag-amin pa n’ya.
“It wasn't my intention to hurt or offend anyone. It was my hope that I could lend my voice and my art to show the reality of Filipinos.
“This is the heart and inspiration of all my paintings, both old and new,” pagpapatuloy pa n’ya. “I did not want to romanticize the poverty of the everyday Pinoy or the resiliency that we naturally have.
“I really hoped to honor our people by being truthful about the kind of life a lot of Filipinos live today and to show that Filipinos deserve better.”
“Thank you for letting this be an eye-opener for me as well. And to those that I have offended, I am sorry,” pagtatapos ni Solenn.
