Sylvia Sanchez took to her official Facebook page earlier today, April 16, to announce that she’s finally COVID-free.
It could be recalled that Sylvia and her husband Art Atayde were diagnosed with COVID-19 and the actress broke the unexpected news to the public last March 31.
After weeks of isolation in the hospital, Sylvia was sent home without her husband as she officially tested negative for the said disease.
Sylvia, along with Art, were cleared from pneumonia last April 8 and the following day, Sylvia underwent two more testings and the result came out negative.
She explained in her FB post that Art still has to stay at the hospital for a few days and he needs to undergo one more test before he can return home.
She wrote, “Salamat sa Diyos! Nakauwi na po ako matapos mag-negative sa COVID-19.
“Ang asawa ko po ay kailangan pang manatili ng 2-3 araw sa ospital para sa isa pang test. Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyong mga dasal!”
Last Tuesday, April 14, the actress also thanked via Instagram her doctors and other frontliners who continuously assisted them throughout their battle against the disease.
Her caption read: “Our heartfelt gratitude to these two doctors and the rest of their team for guiding me and my husband as we continue to fight COVID. Although we are clear from pneumonia, we continue to fight this sickness. I am one negative test away from going home.”
We’re so happy to hear the good news and we will continue to pray for your husband’s recovery!
