Vic Sotto jokingly played as a matchmaker for his Pasig City Mayor son Vico Sotto and San Manuel, Tarlac Mayor Donya Tesoro.
In Eat Bulaga’s “Bawal Judgemental” episode which aired three days ago, June 27, millennial Mayors were invited to appear in the variety show with Gardo Versoza as the celebrity contestant.
One of the mayors who got invited was Donya, who’s carving her name in the political scene since she was 21-years-old.
During the live noontime show, Donya was asked by Paolo Ballesteros and Jose Manalo about her lovelife.
She revealed that she has no boyfriend and it’s not yet included in her priorities for the meantime.
Paolo, shocked by her confession, proceeded to ask her about how she will describe her ideal man.
Donya immediately responded that she’s not particular with looks but what she really prefers is someone who’s loyal, who can understand the nature of her work and someone who’s God-fearing.
Jose commented that she should choose a fellow Mayor as her boyfriend because that would guarantee that they’d be in the same wavelength.
Jose also tried to hint at Vico’s name when he asked Donya about her favorite meryenda, suggesting “kalamay, latik” and the popular rice cake, “biko.”
Bossing Vic interrupted and told them, “Diretsuhin niyo na kaya? Daming paikot-ikot.”
Mayor Vico’s dad then asked Donya if she had any suitors at the moment, to which she replied: “Hi Bossing! Wala po, parang wala. Parang ayaw naman nila sa akin.”
Her response prompted Vic to pretend that he’s calling his Mayor son on the phone, saying, “Hello Vico! Hello?”
He went back to Donya and jokingly told her, “Dineretso ko na.”
The people present at the studio squealed out of kilig and teased Mayor Donya even more.
Paolo and Jose then asked her if there’s someone texting her and she said, “Maraming nagte-text, nangungutang, humihingi ng tulong, pero walang nanliligaw.”
“Feeling ko darating na yan, may dalang biko na may latik. Masarap ‘yon,” Jose added.
Donya was elected into office as Mayor last year during the midterm elections. Her father Benjamin Tesoro served as the former Mayor of the city and now acts as her Vice Mayor.
