As she was along the busy streets of EDSA, Vina Morales had her phone snatched. She recalled the incident on an Instagram post last Friday, October 2.
The singer-actress said her car window was down while she was using her phone across a gas station. She was shocked when someone took the phone from her hands.
She got out of her car and attempted to chase the snatcher who got her phone, before seeing a bystander who talked to her, saying they knew about the incident.
Police, then, arrived and Vina got to speak to a lieutenant named Alvin Bagay who urged her to go to the precinct and file a report. She declined to do so because of COVID-19.
“Telepono lang naman 'yun pero nalulungkot ako kasi bakit may ganoong mga tao," she said.
She also expressed gratitude to people who helped her during the incident and warned her followers to take care.
"Salamat po sa mga tumulong sa akin," she said. "Etong message ko just letting you know na mag ingat po tayo. Bahala na lang po ang Diyos sa kanya."
Some of Vina's celebrity colleagues, including the likes of Jessy Mendiola, Erik Santos, Sunshine Cruz, and Candy Pangilinan expressed their concern towards what happened.

Vina last appeared in the Kapamilya network show Sandugo and an episode of the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. She is set to appear as a judge in the Net25 talent competition Tagisan Ng Galing.
