Ang Write About Love—starring Miles Ocampo and Rocco Nacino—ang baguhang director na si Crisanto Aquino, took home 8, including the best supporting actor and actress awards respectively for Joem Bascon and Yeng Constantino.

The horror film Sunod starring Carmina Villarroel and JC Santos came in third, being named as Third Best Picture while being given the awards for best cinematography and best production design.

Ang period drama film naman na Culion starring Iza Calzado, Meryll Soriano, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith won the Special Jury Prize as best ensemble cast.

Wala namang naging intriga afterwards.

In all, it was a successful awards night and a successful filmfest. And if plans push through, tuloy ang MMFF Summer edition.

In the meantime, let’s relive the glitz and glam moments of the last Gabi ng Parangal in this highlight video.
