Former actress Annabelle Rama—also known as the proud Cebuana wife of actor Eddie Gutierrez, devoted mom to her six children, and doting lola to her six grandkids—turns 67 today, October 28.
But she had an advanced grand celebration last Saturday, October 26, at the Palm Grove, which is at the Rockwell Club in Makati.
Annabelle’s select guests—which included her goodlooking family members, showbiz personalities, politicians, and business peeps—partook on the delectable food selection prepared by no less Chef Jessie Sincioco, one of Manila’s top chefs; as they sang and danced to old classics, interspersed with few Visayan songs.
During the program, her husband Eddie, who coined the words “Sexy7” when asked about his wife’s age, first sang—in a capella— a chorus of an Elvis Presley love song for her before belting out his own Elvis favorite, “Blue Suede Shoes.” He was later joined in by his grandson Zion (son of actor Richard Gutierrez), who relished performing with his granddad.
Later on, in her thank-you speech, done in her trademark comedic ways, Annabelle said that at 67, she promises to enjoy life more and to spend her money the way she pleases.
