Viva Communications, Inc. and Asia’s streaming giant iFlix are joining forces to bring bigger entertainment packages to the viewing public.
The collaboration’s launch, dubbed iFLIXxVIVA, was held last night, July 10, at the Arthaland Century Pacific Tower in BGC (Bonifacio Global City).
Viva’s del Rosario family, led by Chairman and patriarch Vic del Rosario, Jr., came in full force; as did the top honchos of iFlix to formally announce the tie up.
In his short speech, iFlix Chairman Patrick Grove revealed that Viva, their “business loveteam” partner, is bringing in 30 movies and 9 TV shows to iFlix in the next three years.
He added: “When you make a big commitment to co-produce with a great partner, one of the things that we really, really believe in is that the quality of the local content, the quality of the writing, the quality of the direction—the whole artistic process in making great content—we are big, big believers and investors in that process… will rise and will get better and better and we’ll start to see amazing contents coming out of this country that you’ve never never seen before. So we’re super excited.”
Viva Communications COO and president, Vincent del Rosario, echoed the same enthusiasm. “We’re happy that we’re bringing our content to the platform,” he said. “But we’re more happy because we are getting our stars exposed to the international platforms—23 territories right now. Ang ating mga artista, makikita na sa isang bansa and hopefully some of them can break through.”
Sam YG hosted the event while Viva stars Matteo Guidicelli and Janine Teñoso did special performance to entertain the guests.
The IFLIXxVIVA event also served as the reunions for some members of the Viva Hot Babes such as Maui Taylor, Jaycee Parker, Jennifer Lee, Sheree, and Myles Hernandez.
Viva stars Janno Gibbs, Fabio Ide, Sarah Lahbati, Marco Gumabao, Louise delos Reyes, and Kylie Verzosa also graced the happy affair.
Exciting times ahead, folks!
