The cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 entry The Mall The Merrier rendered electrying performances last night, December 2, at the Makati City Hall Quadrangle.
The event, which served as an early Christmas gift for the citizens of Makati City was dubbed as Chugug Paskuhan sa Makati. It also served as the kick-off show of the movie’s promo tour.
Performers included hip-hop artist Kritiko, who wowed the audience with his rap singing technique; while movie cast member You Do Note Girl (Majo Lingat), Miel Espinoza and Carlo Mendoza alongside singer-comedian Petite, Miss Q & A finalists Chad Kinis, and comic Brenda Mage brought the house down with their dance-challenge stint.
It's Showtime's Ate Jackie (Jackie Gonzaga), Kuya Escort (Ion Perez), Elisse Joson, and Jameson Blake serenaded the crowd with their respective solo song numbers.
Kadenang Ginto actress Dimples Romana, who’s also part of the movie, also delighted the Makatizens with her presence. She even went around to get a closer encounter with the crowd.
'Amazing buntis' Anne Curtis showed off her belting prowess by singing Frozen's popular song, “Let It Go.” Her funny take never fails to amaze the audience.
The Unkabogable Vice Ganda was of course the last to perform and she electrified the stage with her performance of Dua Lipa's “New Rules.” The bankable host-comedian also had a funny adlib banter with Lassy and MC before capping the event with her rendition of This Band's “Kahit Ayaw Mo Na” with her beau Ion Perez.
